November Gaming

Well, the good news is that I just crossed over 200 subscribers on YouTube, so that's pretty neat. Anyway, I don't have any new projects planned for December yet. What I'm going to do instead is make sure all the ones that I am currently doing end before the 31st so we can start fresh in 2013 with all sorts of new stuff. I suppose the only thing that is troubling me at the moment is Resident Evil Zero, I have episodes 9 and 10 recorded, but I don't have parts 11+ yet. This worries me a bit because episode 11 is supposed to be uploaded next Tuesday and I usually don't come this close to any sort of deadline in my Let's Play's. For example, I am ahead on Minecraft Survival by a lot, so much so that the rest of my LP is still in version 1.3.2 instead of the latest update 1.4. I've also got Ocarina of Time Versus episodes for every Saturday up until the end of December for the finale. FIFA 13 Career Mode is pretty much wrapped up and I've got the last episodes done as well. The only problem I have is sitting down and recording Resident Evil Zero. With Thanksgiving coming up and the cluster-fuck of work that's going to be, I suppose Black Friday is the only day I'll be able to record more of it. If I can clear out three to four hours and not mess up too bad in the game, I bet I can finish it then.

In other news, I've been playing the hell out of Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed III. Both games are great. I loved the story in AC3 and the gameplay was fantastic. I especially loved the naval missions more than any other side quest. As for Halo 4, the campaign was wonderful! There was never any boring segments, the story was top notch, and the characters were really cool. I didn't find any annoying enemies at all, they were all well balanced. Not like the damn flood mutations and the fucking Brutes in Halo 3. It also had a strong ending. Every mission was good and fun to play. Plus the multiplayer is always really fun to do as well. My favorite mode is Big Team Slayer. Anyway, I guess that about sums up this blog and I'll see you in December for another.

Busy October

I've got tons of neat stuff planned for the month of October on my YouTube channel. One really neat thing is that I'm at 175 subscribers, only 25 away from 200 and that is really exciting. Thanks for that.

Anyway, in this post I want to talk about the upcoming projects I have for this month. Pokemon FireRed will finally come to an end this month. It's the second longest lasting project that I have ever done. By the time it is complete it will be 79 episodes and about 22 hours worth of episodes. That rivals my Tales of Symphonia LP that ran for 35 hours and 139 episodes. Minecraft Survival is going really well every Sunday and Wednesday, I have so much stuff planned out for this series and I am doing quite well so far with it. Ocarina of Time Versus is going really well, I just finished editing two episodes of it today, and the whole series is going to come out awesome. The last of the current projects is NHL 13 vs. Hockeyfan315, that one was really fun to record and it will end this month.

OK, so let's talk about the new projects: First is today's upload, Let's Play Limbo. This let's play was one that I recorded a few months ago and never got around to upload it, I think it is a good playthrough and my commentary throughout was very relaxed. The whole reason I decided to upload it now was because I had not recorded any of Resident Evil Zero yet. I still haven't practiced on it either. I hate it when I have to rush a project, so I just delayed it by two weeks in favour of Limbo instead.

Then I've got two other collaborative projects to do in this month, a best of 7 series on FIFA 13 and a new versus for StarFox 64. Both of these projects I'll be doing with Hockeyfan315. Interestingly enough,  that will be four collaborations with him (Rainbow Six Vegas 2, NHL 13, FIFA 13, and StarFox 64 Versus).

I'm pretty excited to start recording for these projects this month.

Sweet September

First the bad news: I finally got sick this year, I think I caught some flu or a cold or something, it's really annoying. I've been really tired all day, the good news is that I have the day off tomorrow anyway so I won't have to take any sick time off.

That aside, September has been really cool so far. I've done tons of recordings for my YouTube channel and I'm now over 150 subscribers. Thanks for that. September has also been a month with way too many videos, I think I've uploaded 34 videos and it's only the 17th - that's about two per day, but that will definitely go down in October because of projects ending, such as Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Co-Op, Agent Under Fire, and the best of 7 NHL 13 series.

Speaking of October, I haven't gotten around to practicing or recording anything with Resident Evil Zero, it concerns me a bit that October 1st is right around the corner and I'm not prepared for that Let's Play at all. I also want to do something special for Halloween this year. If I can get to 200 subscribers, I'll try and do a twitch.tv streaming night to celebrate or something.

One last note, FIFA 13 pre-release starts this weekend! I am so excited but also a bit apprehensive. You see, I haven't been playing all that well in the demo, I think I need a lot of practice when the game comes out before I get back into the groove of things. Plus, I do have another series to record with it starting mid-October as well.

Anyway, I hope your summer was a good one. Let's make this fall into a great season for Let's Playing.

August Anguish

Fucking August. Why must you be so hot?

It's been insanely hot this week and I'm really happy to be home now. I've got the air conditioning on and have an oscillating fan blowing me. LOL, it's the only thing blowing me in recent months... ZING!

You know, I have been feeling pretty lousy. The thing is that I've been in quite the pickle, financially speaking. So much so that I had to cancel my Halo 4 and Persona 4 Arena pre-orders last week to recover some money. The reason for my frustration is that I just haven't been getting enough hours at work lately.

And, I have this unsettling feeling that our restaurant may go out of business and that would royally suck major ass. I know that I can probably get hired somewhere else, but I'd prefer if things just settled down again. Last year, things at work were great.

Anyway, I hope your summer has been good.

It's Been a While

I think I've got too much Pokémon on the brain. I'm doing an LP of FireRed, I'm playing Silver on my spare time and I just picked up the new Pokémon Conquest for NDS--and to top it all off, I'm watching an LP of Crystal... there's something about summer time and Pokémon that go so well together!

To compensate for the tidal wave of Poké-fanaticism, I've also been playing some manly games; some titles to note are Persona 4 and Agent Under Fire, both of which are PS2 games and are really fun. I would also eventually like to LP those, but it should be a long time before I get to either of them.

Work has been pretty lax lately as well. This time last year, we were swarming with customers and barely keeping up (I like to work under pressure sometimes). However, I don't think it will pick up until after 4th of July. Speaking of which, I hope you have a great time and I'll see you sometime in July for another blog or maybe sooner, whatever.

Overwhelmed

I've been thinking that my upload schedule is too demanding of my viewers, and also, it is increasingly demanding of me. So... I've got quite the solution! After Super Mario Galaxy and Link's Awakening are finished, I will stop uploading two videos per day, and go down to only one video per day. I figure that this change would allow people more time to watch and also allow me more leeway for recording.

Relaxing Days Off

The good news is that I don't have to work today, the better news is that I have free time to record stuff today, and the best news is that I'm almost done with these projects and can kick back for a few weeks while I prepare a bonus project for my first year anniversary on YouTube.

Anyway, I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing lately. It's a game that I haven't even touched in over a year and half. The good thing about it though, is that I only play 10 to 15 minutes every other day just to get my daily tasks done and grind up the bells to upgrade my house and get new furniture. I was thinking too, that the whole game is just a simulation of what goes on in our daily lives... except for the talking animals. But yeah, we go to work so we can earn money to pay our bills and buy more stuff... it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but it keeps me entertained.

I was also looking at a channel that is doing 365 days of Animal Crossing City Folk, and I immediately though that would be a neat project to attempt on my channel, except not doing it every day. Posting maybe weekly videos instead of daily. It might be something that I look into doing next year or something. Right now, I've got other games in mind such as Mario, Zelda, and Metroid titles that I'd like to take a stab at.

The Return

To more posting...

I'm back. Not like it matters though, since my audience is quite small. It is growing day to day; I'm about to cross 50 subscribers! So that's good news....

Also, PIKMIN comes to my channel finally, with the first game: Let's Play Pikmin!
